The U.S. National Institutes of Health just released Proposed Principles and Guidelines for Reporting Preclinical Research. The consensus guidelines are intended to "enhance rigor and further support research that is reproducible, robust, and transparent". They were established in a joint workshop of the NIH, Nature Publishing Group, and Science in June 2014.
